Our Policies
1.) All Owner Give Ups will be required to leave a donation of
$300.00 per akita surrendered to Akita Rescue of Tulsa. This money will be used to offset the cost of
bringing the Akita to the point of adoptability. *

2.) All person's adopting an Akita from Akita Rescue of Tulsa will be
asked for a donation of no less than $200.00. If you can offer more, we can always use it.
a.) Prospective adopters must have a fenced yard, and agree to provide
proper care for the life of the Akita.
More details are explained in the adoption contract.

At the time of adoption, all Akitas will be healthy and current on
vaccines (DHPP, Bordatella, and Rabies), heartworm negative, free from internal and external parasites, and
altered. All Akitas will be accepted back into A.R.T. if for any reason at any time the placement does not
work.

*Please note that the cost of preparing a healthy akita for adoption
is approximately $350.00 for updating vaccinations, Heartworm test, fecal test, and spay surgery. If
there are any other problems (i.e.. positive heartworm) obviously our cost goes up.
